Flu and Covid Vaccinations

Our Winter Vaccination programme for Flu and Covid will start in September.

Flu vaccines:

From 1st September we will be able to vaccinate the following individuals:

  • Pregnant Women
  • All children aged 2 and 3 years on 31 August 2025
  • Primary school aged children (from Reception to Year 6)
  • Secondary school children (from year 7 to Year 11)
  • Children in risk groups
  • Small number of additional at risk adults depending on specified clinical risks

Flu and Covid vaccines:

From 1st October we will be able to vaccinate for both Covid and Flu, and the cohorts are as follows:

Flu:

  • Those aged 65 years and over (including those that turn 65 years on or before March 2026)
  • Those aged 18 years to under 65 years in specified additional risk categories.
  • Patients in long stay residential care homes
  • Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
  • Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme.

Covid:

  • Individuals aged 75 years and older (including those due to turn 75 years on or before 31 January 2026)
  • Residents in a care home for older adults
  • Patients aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed

We will be holding clinics on Saturday 4th and Saturday 11th October for both Covid and Flu, with additional clinics during the weeks.

We will be opening these bookings on 1st September and will be sending booking links by text.
